Miles & Maya

Miles and Maya are 8-year-old twins who share a room and a love of science and adventure. Go along with them as they dream big dreams about space travel and try to find ways to make them come true. Miles is an explorer. He loves to travel through time and space and is curious about understanding the universe. He lives through his five senses to connect with his surroundings. Maya is a technologist. She explores her surroundings through technology – she wants to know how things work and uses tools to help enhance her experience. NYLA is a robot built by Maya to assist in the adventure.  Along the way, they have many questions about what they see and experience and how and why certain things work. Can you help them?

1. “I have so many questions about the moon. So many things I want to know, Like how I can see the moon at night, But during the day- where does it go? Or when we see rocks on the moon They are always on the ground. But as soon as you put them into space They begin to float around?”

2 “Our bodies need food, air, and Sleep – even in space. But Nyla, a robot, would be just fine! As long as her batteries are working, She can help out all the time!”

3 “I added some special features (to the robot) Using the math we learned in school. Our brains are like computers, you know. Mom always says, “it’s our best and Greatest tool….”
