Michele Muhammad

It comes as no surprise that Michele Muhammad has written an inspiring children’s book about African American twins who are bright, curious adventurers. Michele, a latent engineer and African American history and culture enthusiast, found that her passions coalesced in writing Miles & Maya: Countdown To Big Dreams. The result is a heartwarming, easy-to-read bedtime story encouraging early STEM literacy.

As a former board member of an independent Afrikan-centered school, Michele knows first-hand the value of a high-quality, child-centered, culturally grounded education and its role in instilling confidence, curiosity, and purpose in children. Nothing makes her more joyful than seeing children reach their true potential through education.

By day, Michele is the Principal of Vanderpool Strategy, LLC, a marketing consulting firm based in New Jersey. She has an MBA in Marketing and Strategic Management from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania and a bachelor’s degree in policy studies from the Maxwell School at Syracuse University.
